- Mentored by Two State Universities
For every private professional higher institute to operate, it must be mentored by a state university. This is one of the things that makes HUIB unique; we operate on the Anglo-Saxon style of education and under the mentorship of two giant English-speaking state universities – the very renowned University of Buea (UB) and the University of the Future, the University of Bamenda (UBa).
HUIB offers the two-year HND program for GCE Advanced level holders, a certification program offered only by institutions accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education. For B-Tech and MBA, HUIB offers these certification programs under the mentorship of the University of Bamenda, UBa while an extension of the Specific Partnership Agreement (SPA) allows HUIB to offer the one-year and three-year top-up B.Sc programs.
As a result of this mentorship, examination questions and certificates are validated and awarded respectively by our mentor universities.

At HUIB, we put your job prospects at the heart of our curriculum by helping you find internship placements, work experience, and voluntary opportunities across a wide variety of organizations. During your studies at HUIB, we scout for suitable and relevant internship placements in the town of your choice and place you in a suitable and relevant organization. For one thing, at least 3 months of internship is a prerequisite for obtaining an HND at HUIB.

Established in 2010 as the Higher Institute of Business Management and Technology (HIBMAT), HUIB is a registered institution, meaning we are recognized as a bona fide university institute. This registration guarantees students that any certificates or qualifications obtained from the institution will be recognized both locally and internationally for those looking to gain employment in companies or admission into other schools.
