ACCOUNTANCY
Accountancy is a vital field of study at HUIB, providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the accounting profession. The Accountancy programme at HUIB is designed to provide students with a thorough grounding in accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
The success of HUIB’s Accountancy programme is evident in the achievements of our students. In 2022, Umeni Sedrick-Junior Achochoh emerged as the second-best student nationwide in Accountancy. Sedrick is a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work and determination. Throughout his time at HUIB, he distinguished himself as a dedicated and talented student who consistently went above and beyond in his studies.
COMPUTER SCIENCE & NETWORKS
One of the popular academic disciplines at HUIB is Computer Science & Networks which focuses on the design, implementation, and management of computer networks and systems. At HUIB, the Computer Science & Networks programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the underlying principles of computing and networking, as well as the skills and practical experience needed to thrive in the field.
Last year, three of the best candidates nationwide in Computer Science & Networks emerged from HUIB. We are proud to have produced some of the best computing professionals in the HND exams in the likes of Mbella Brenda Namondo, Bokossa Nickson Nakende, and Egbe Thomas Acha.
ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS
HUIB’s Electrical Power Systems programme is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the principles, technologies, and practices that underpin modern electrical systems. The programme covers a wide range of topics, including power generation and distribution, renewable energy sources, electrical machines and drives, power electronics, and control systems. Ngono Theference Dui-ih emerged as the second-best candidate nationwide in Electrical Power Systems at the 2022 HND exams.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project Management is a rapidly growing field and a popular career option for many students. At HUIB, the Project Management programme equips students with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively plan, execute, and manage projects in various industries. Taught by experts in the field, the programme covers a range of topics, including project planning, risk management, project budgeting, and stakeholder management. Over the years, HUIB’s Project Management programme has had a track record of producing some of the best students in the Higher National Diploma examinations. To put it into perspective, HUIB birthed two of the best candidates nationwide in Project Management – Ngock Velma Rihanna Nahbila and Neba Laura Sirri. This is a testament to the quality of our programme and the dedication of our students.
