On the 19th of January 2023, students from the Human Resources Department of HUIB embarked on an educational visit to the regional headquarters of CAMWATER in the southwest Region at Limbe, enriching their theoretical knowledge with practical insights. The immersive experience began at the 1987 water treatment center in Wututu at Mile 4, Limbe.
During their visit to the water treatment center, the students were captivated by the intricate process of water purification, witnessing firsthand the various stages involved. They also gained insights into the operational dynamics of the unit, including the total number of workers and their roles. The students actively engaged in the learning experience, posing questions to enhance their understanding.
Following the tour of the water treatment center, the students proceeded to the regional head office, where they had the opportunity to meet the Human Resources Manager of CAMWATER for the southwest region. The manager shared valuable insights into the operational aspects of his office, fostering a productive question-and-answer session with the students. The students, showcasing a high level of enthusiasm, posed a series of well-thought-out questions related to their field of study. The Human Resources Manager commended the students for their insightful inquiries and encouraged them to maintain their enthusiasm.
To conclude the visit, the regional manager of CAMWATER requested that the students prepare a 1-page report on their study visit, emphasizing the importance of documentation in the learning process. After capturing memorable moments with photographs, the students departed for lunch, carrying with them a sense of joy and satisfaction from this enriching academic experience.”
