The purpose for this visit was to meet the requirements for the award of HND in TLM by MINSUP,
To familiarize the students with ports operations and management as a prelude to the course Ports Management and Operations.
It will also enable them to know the stakeholders in the management of ports especially the customs service as part of the course: Customs Operations
To blend theory with practice.
The visit began at the Port Authority Douala (PAD) office where they had a talk with the PRO Mr Desmond Tutu who drilled them with more insights on the functioning of the Douala Port .
The students had a tour round the Seaport after receiving brief talks from the head of the container terminal alongside the Hub master. It was and interactive session with the students clarifying their doubts as the match theory and practice
The visit ended on a satisfactory note as the students wish for more of such
